Najib, Manu and Jörg have been living in Berlin for many years and are still struggling with the nature of the city. While wandering around Kreuzberg at dawn, a curious person follows the characters in their (un)likely encounters. A chaotic bubble of different perspectives, destinies, languages and cultures floats into the everyday life of Berlin at the edge of night and day.

The power of stories, told over many nights, over many years, through all the languages across the world, are encapsulated in an intimate story between a grandmother and her children’s children on a clear winter night in the teepee. This short is exhibited at the Indigenous Peoples Experience cultural centre in Fort Edmonton Park.

The film follows Michel, a Montrealer and chef at the Belle Tonki restaurant, as he recounts his experiences of his neighbourhood, Saint-Michel. He paints an Intimate portrait of the cultural clash brought about by the successive waves of immigration that have shaped his culinary approach and his sense of belonging.

A group of small, shimmering amphibians is in heat. A two-legged forest dweller meets the lustful group. He and his companions nibble on the little creatures, and soon a feast begins.

A city, in summer. The morning coolness in the river does not last long, the heat covers the city like a magnifying glass under which supposedly trivial everyday nuisances suddenly take on weight. Eli tries to escape the narrowness and agitation of the city – yet keeps being confronted with aggression. And her rage starts to build up.

Just when he is trying to build a relationship with his daughter, whom he barely knows, a zookeeper suffers a serious traffic accident. At the same time, on the other side of the world, a man experiencing episodes of sleep paralysis writes an e-mail to break a long family silence.

Ten women are connected by a telephone chaine. When one of them is missing, they try to find her to make sure she's safe. But, who will they forget in the process ?
