An afternoon at the edge of a large film set somewhere out in the sticks in rural France. A trainee takes up his position. He is responsible for blocking off the street while filming is in process and reopening it to traffic as soon as the take is over. His only connection to the set is via walkie talkie. He begins to get bored. The mountains are magnificent. A tractor returns from the field. The trainee turns all the way round. Time passes slowly and we wait with him, merely observing the afternoon - without a single cut or a comma.

Stefan KriekhausActeur, réalisateur, scénariste et producteur, il est né en 1968 et grandi à Gießen, en Allemagne. Il étudie l’histoire et la civilisation à l’université Humboldt de Berlin. Auteur indépendant depuis 1998, il a notamment coécrit Klassenfahrt (2002) et Lucy (2006), de Henner Winckler. En 2005, il tourne un court-métrage, Baden, et passe pour la première fois derrière la caméra. Après avoir joué dans Cargo, Camera Obscura et récemment Schwestern, Stefan Kriekhaus a reçu cette année l’Ours d’argent du court métrage à la Berlinale pour Remains quiet, qu’il a réalisé, écrit, et produit.
