Elena Kurkova was born in Moscow. She graduated from the Moscow Art Institute named after S.G. Stroganov in the Department of Ceramics in 2000. She later graduated in the director's department from the Moscow Academic Art Theater in 2009. She worked as an illustrator, artist, animator, director. She has been working in animation since 2009.
