Inspired by her latest essay, À s’en arracher le cœur: Réflexions sur les filles et l’amour dans la fiction, India Desjardins invites teens and young adults to a discussion about the representation of girls in cinema.

The goal? To unpack the female stereotypes most often seen in films and to discuss, as a group, the heroines who have left an impression on us. How are they viewed through the lens of history? How are they perceived in popular discourse? And looking ahead, who do we want to see on screen in the future?
