Rolf Hellat studied film directing at the Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland. He attended an exchange program at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune for one year. Since then he realized short films, documentaries and commercials, exploring new paths in audiovisual composition.
Besides studying films he spent time in the woods in Brasil working for an ecological farming project, he played tenor recorder in Paris sleeping on the streets, or he tried to walk to Spain with a donkey.
He currently works as a freelance director and editor, developing feature films and short films.
