Synopsis

In a decrepit basement that mirrors a hostile world—the one trans people face day after day—we glimpse two friends in the light of their everyday life, filled with laughter and tenderness, as a reminder of their unshakable strength and resilience. Through small, symbol-laden gestures, they reveal their commitment, quiet flashes of a much broader struggle. For trans people, too, carry within them a profound and undeniable right to happiness.

Laurie Foster is an artist who wears many hats: set designer, art director, and filmmaker. Her artistic approach is fluid, always in service of the work—sometimes iconoclastic, often bold, and always poetic. Having directed around thirty music videos for artists such as Jérôme 50, Adieu Narcisse, and Julyan, Laurie brings a deeply engaged perspective to her work.
